so extend it when it expires.  as long as you don't have over 12 years, and 75,000 miles, you can renew it.  if you're close to that time frame or mileage, then renew for the max term available.

81K miles and still 13 months left on the ESP.  No renewal for me.

I get it on all our bikes.  The way I look at is it's like all other polices it you need it you need it.  Hope I don't have to use it but if I do I have it.

ESP has been money well spent for me.

Me = Windshield  ESP = Bug

I will post soon (when I get more time ) how ESP is paying for my 2nd new motor for a $50 deductible.

Don't leave home without it! It is worth the money, on my 09 SEUC it has paid for a motor, rebuilt tranny, compensator, two stators, starter clutch, front wheel bearings, oil cooler, and I am sure I have forgotten some other things, but all of this in 93,000 miles. I would be broke if I didn't have the extended warranty.

dahsen, when I purchased my 09 in Aug. of 2008 I bought the extended warranty (7 years) including  tire and wheel coverage. I only have 17K on it due to some back surgery, but I am back riding again and plan another trip to Canada next summer. I am told I can renew it for an additional 3 or 5 years when it expires in 2015. If I still have the bike I will do so. It cost me $1700.00, but with the couple of times I had to use it for new compensator and front tire it has over half way paid for itself. When I went in for a new rear tire the service writer said" too bad you don't have a nail or screw in your tire I could give you a new one just the deductible"  since I had enough tread left to qualify. I don't think there is deductible on tires.    And if you have the same repair done twice you don't have to pay a deductible either.  Billy

I bought the extended warranty on this new ride, I think it will pay for itself over time.

Billy, thanks for the tip on the deductible. I will check my warranty, since I may have to have my compensator replaced again. When I had to have my front tire replaced I was on the way home from Canada. I diverted to Great Falls Montana and had my tire replaced at Big Sky Harley. Maybe they took advantage of the fact that I was on a trip, but they totally cleaned my bike while I sat in their air conditioned showroom, and everyone treated us like we were regulars. CAHDBIKER
