Took the 11.5 out for a ride to the local dealer to meet the official HD demo fleet, the 11.5 wasn't all that impressed, as she's a rather confident machine and probably knew it would be a foolish endeavor to compare her to any of the new '17's

We took demo rides on the '17 limited, the CVO Limited, Road Glide Ultra, CVO Street Glide, and one that's always fun to ride, the Tri-Glide. While I was impressed with the 114" in the CVO offerings and the Street Glide is a bit of a hot rod to ride - especially considering the fact that my wife stayed behind and I rode that one solo. Actually the CVO street Glide reminded me a little of my '01 Fatboy in the hot rod department except the Street Glide has a fairing and stereo. The new faring on the Rod glide is very much improved from the last time we rode one back in (I think) 2012, with very little wind buffeting at speed. The newfangled infotainment system would take some getting used to with the strange( to me) joystick controls, it's to dang easy to make an erroneous choice with them things...
All in all, I still straddled my 11.5 at the end of the demo ride and said "ahhh it's good to be home". Don't misunderstand, the new bikes are quiet(engine noise wise), smooth and have plenty of power, just isn't enough there for me to make a switch.
After the demos the wife and I took the egotistical 11.5 out for a ride to get something to eat and brought it back home to park it in it's rightful place, right next to the Fatboy and Ducati, A good day was had by all indeed.
