Drilling injectors??
« on: October 30, 2013, 06:24:15 AM »

Had a Pro-Charger equipped bike in here that some crafty soul had taken upon him/herself to arbitrarily drill the holes larger, with 5 in one, and 6 in the other, and different sizes as well.
Who on God's green earth is doing this handy little upgrade? :'(

Shhhhhhh!  You're giving away the secret Scott.  No doubt we will see ads in the leading motorcycle rags soon, touting the benefits of these top secret injectors.  When combined with their super duper plug wires and super duper fuel additive, they will add 20 hp and increase mileage by 50%, all for only $499.95 plus shipping.  What a steal.

Jerry

Btw, I assume the answer to your question is some old guy who is new to the idea of fuel injection.  He probably figures he used to drill out the jets in his carbs, so why not the injectors?

There will also be a less expensive "do it your self kit" for $200.00 Three different size drill bits, and vice grips to hold the injector down.  :2vrolijk_21:

You wouldn't need those drilled out injectors if you just add 6 or 8 moth balls to your tank at each fill up.   :2cr_01:

This has been walked through over on HTT and is a red herring.  :nixweiss:

Must have hurt to learn after posting on multiple forums and said they were hand done, to find out that they actually were just 2 different size injectors mistakenly installed but made for the application and the same ones were used by you to hit the 207 hp you posted about?

Yep, from what we were told, it wasn't what was wanted/needed.
