New Sony RX10 Camera
« on: November 01, 2013, 09:27:00 AM »

Been wanting a compact camera (not a pocket camera) with a fixed lens with a great range and fast, fixed aperture? This may be the one:  http://store.sony.com/dsc-rx10-digital-still-camera-zid27-DSCRX10/B/cat-27-catid-Collections-New-Products?_t=pfm%3Dcategory

Fixed 24-200 f/2.8 Zeiss lens.  Looks to be a pretty amazing little camera for those time when you want something more than a "pocket" camera, but don't want to pack the DSLR and two or more lenses.

Terry, like you, I have been through a lot of cameras. But, if one stood out for overall ease of use and picture quality, it would be the Sony DSC-F828 I had.

Simple, compact, excellent lens and great results with no camera processing. Probably 99% of the time I used it on auto.
And, it fit on my tank mounted camera bag for quick access.

I'd still be using had I not dropped it.

Waiting to here your review when it comes out  :2vrolijk_21:

Google is your friend  ;D

I couldn't remember the model I had and that link came up while I was looking for it. Once Sony go into the DSC series the digital cameras started to shine.
Sony has a good product, and in retrospect, I now wished I had not dumped all of my old Minolta lenses ..............

Have you seen the Sony Alpha7 and 7R?  Compact, FULL FRAME Camera that shoots some amazing photos.

Terry,

Be sure to give us a review.  It looks pretty sweet and my G12 just crapped out on me.
