I agree completely. She got us home from MV on her own two wheels and she did not deserve to be treated that way. But that is the way the salvage companies do it. Had a friend who had same experience. He tried to drive it up onto the bed and have the operator lower the bed. But it just does not move fast enough and incline on slick metal is too great. After three attempts and one drop and skinned knee he gave up. Must have been same driver since he mentioned that he would not even let me attempt to drive it up.
I doesn't look that bad from a distance since things not totally bent and crushed like might be in collision with another vehicle. But all paint was damaged, frame bent, tour pak demolished, lots & lots of chrome had scratches. It really adds up quick.
I did get all I could off bike. Only aftermarket piece left is the saddlebag guard rails and cannot not tell but left side is scratched up and right side bent so not usable. Everything else is stock including the muffs which I re-installed on Sat. I'm not crazy enought to let 'em have the goodies I added.
