My 110 build
« on: November 09, 2013, 03:47:29 PM »

Just had my 2011 street glide cvo engine mods done and tuned with fuel moto xxx head pipe and 4" jackpot mufflers with 2" comp baffles and new elite heavy breather sert tuned with 259e cams and 58mm throttle body stock pistons and heads. Running 120tq at 4150 rpm and 120.1 hp at 6000 rpm. It holds flat 120 tq from 3600 to 4150 straight line. Can't wait to ride it. Doesn't hit 100 tq until 2750, but I'm good with that cause I like the power to the right coming off a stage 4 103 with 114tq and 117 hp. I kept the stock cr and knew I would lose some bottom end tq but I would have less heat issues. My plan worked as I love my dyno chart. Tell me how to post the chart and I will post it. Now I have a long wait to spring to twist the grip

What part of the country are you in?

What effect did the larger TB have on this build?

I expected around 110 maybe 112 not 120. My tuner conviced me to stick with stock pistons, said the stock heads flow dam good and only MVA heads would be better but not worth the cost for the gain. Said the 259e will tune just fine with stock pistons and keep the heat down. The fuel moto xxx head pipe flows big time and the heavy breath breaths better than most breathers. The rest is his magic on the dyno. I'm sure a lot of people are going to say no way, the dyno is lying, but if the bike runs strong and crisp, super throttle response and hauls ass that's all that matters to me

As long as you ride with the RPM up it looks fine but look at the loss you've got from 3250 down the RPM band. Cruising at 80 mph gets you about 3100 RPM in high gear so at low speed with RPM down you have less than stock! At 2750 which IMHO is right where you ride most of the time when not twisting the throttle your down near 15 ft lbs! So if you ride two up on a CVO or carry any load on it it's not going to pull as good as a stock bike UNTIL you get the RPM up. Maybe just fine for you and I hope that it is for what you want.

It is the way I like to ride, I love the mid range top end rush I didn't like the motor at all stock. This motor is almost the same as my 103 stage 4 was. And that bike was a blast to ride
