Life begins just outside your comfort zone and you havent lived until you push a full dress harley on a hot day up a grade because your low mile twincam fell apart, and your convinced it's to bitchen to leave it there.           Ugh pardon me but do you have any beer?

I have always maintained that it would suk getting punted through an intersection by an inattentive driver. When I approach a red light of stop sign I will try to increase MY following distance a little when slowing and I keep an eye on traffic approaching from behind even after the car immediately behind me has stopped because it only take a second for a chain reaction to start.  Another good habit is to leave yourself an avenue of escape.

the OP did a great job of self preservation  :2vrolijk_21:

Too many idiots don't even pay much attentions to other cars and trucks, let alone bikes.

Glad the OP looked in the mirrors and responded... and had enough room to maneuver out of the way. This shows why it's good to leave enough room in front of you when stopped to be able to get out the way if need be.
