If you are going to buy these covers, it is much cheaper to buy off eBay.

Cool. I found a guy over on hdforums that said he had the shiny nutz on his bike for 16000 miles with no problems. I will feel a lot better about giving $40.00 for a bunch of chrome plated plastic than giving the MOCO more hundred dollar bills!!

I think dealer calls them Hottoppers. They really dress up the bike. Even using a little silicone on them sometimes I would find some missing. Maybe they just came off or HD techs did not replace or did not use silicone. Keep a few spares.  :nixweiss:
I think the dealer price for a kit is well over $100.00. I think there are kits for different bikes.

These are nothing new, have been around at least 15 years. If you buy the Hottopper brand and loose one, just let them know and they will cheerfully replace it.
Plastic caps are not my cup of tea, but Hottoppers seem to be a upstanding company. And it makes no difference where you buy them, just hang onto reciept and they will replace lost or peeling ones.

I have had the black ones (hot toppers) on my bike since day 1 and have only had to replace a few. They are a great "touch" to the bike!

Yeah I knew they had been around for a while. Especially the hot toppers, but I was looking specifically for any reviews on the shiny nutz since those are $40.00 and the hot toppers are $100.00. The other link was for some without any brand name mentioned at all for $69.00. I am leaning toward the shiny nutz since I found a couple of good reviews on them over on hdforums. Thanks for all of the input though guys. Ya'll are great.

I sure will deldago. I just noticed you are from Ohio, I don't know how far from Avon, Ohio you are but that is where Shiny Nutz is and he had an option for local pickup on his EBay ad. Just figured I would let you know in case you were just minutes away or something and wanted to go check them out.

Well I finally got around to installing the Shiny Nutz yesterday. The chrome finish on them is a perfect match to the chrome on the bike. They came packaged with clear installation instructions. They seem to fit well. Hopefully they will hold up well to riding.

Which ones did you get? Prices really vary widely on these kits .
