Mark took the time to build me a texas hill country route on google maps for a Texas Hill Country ride just the other day when I asked for suggestions for an upcoming vacation. This thread is just more proof to me that Mark is a great person. Way to go Mark, and thanks again for the google map!!

Now, I'm embarrassed.

Thank to all for the kind words.  It's not about me, but just being happy for my brother.
I apologize for my arrogance.

I envy you Mark. I lost a younger brother July this year and my older brother and I were taking care of his estate as he had no will. We are in Ohio and he lived in Placerville, CA. I had just bought a 2010 Softail CVO Convertible on Oct the 15th with the idea of my wife taking some riding courses to learn to ride the bike. I also wanted my brother to ride with me. I know he like the Harley Switchback that I have because of the lighter weight of the bike. He said the Switchback felt comfortable to him while he was sitting on it, so I know he would like riding the CVO. He had Triumph's and BSA's in his younger days, so he knows how to ride. Well the CVO was delivered to me on the 15th of October and my brother passed away on Friday night the 18th of October and he was my HERO.  I hadn't even told him about the bike I had for him to ride. He was the last of my 4 brothers who all died in the last 3 years.
I want to wish you and your brother all the best and take care. I know you don't take family for granted and no one should. Today is Family day (Thanksgiving) an hopefully a happy day for all.

Best regards,
Fred

Thanks Guys.

I was braggin' a little.  I've been blessed and wanted to do something special for my brother.  We lost our Mom when we were young teens and Dad followed way too soon.  We were very close growing up, but things happen and we lost touch for nearly a decade.

About 6 years ago we were reunited and have been riding together as much as possible since.  Promised never to lose touch again.  I had the chance to do something nice for him, so I did it.

Kind Regards,

Mark

Dear Fred:

Wow.  That makes me all the more thankful for my brother, my hero.  Family is the most precious gift.

Here's a pic of by Bro' looking all epic with his new Limited.

After a couple days in the Hill Country, we rode from San Antonio down to Corpus and then back to ride the Three Sisters. 850 miles in 4 days.

All I can say is it was an awesome trip and we're looking forward to the next time.

Kind Regards,

Mark

Both bikes rode like dreams.

Had to put my brother back on a plane, so I did the cleaning.  (Now that's Love!!!)

Anyway, put on my Harley mechanics shirt and gave his a "check ride" down to the freeway.  Had to do that to make it official (even tho I'm not a mechanic  :P)  Can't be joy-ridin' around on my brother's scoot.    ::)

All I can say is WOW!  I am impressed with the 103".

Even with the stock pipes on his bike it feels like it has more power.  It may be because it is quieter - just my imagination, but it does get after it.

Regards,

Mark
