« on: November 26, 2013, 05:18:27 PM »

I have a heated vest that has a battery tender end connection. works well with my plug to the battery.. I would like to have it wired to the accessory switch plug thats under my seat. Any ideals how to make that happen? What parts I need? Thanks alan

Are you trying to use the Aux to control the liners heat by switching the power on and off?

If so the first thing you need to check is the amp draw on the liner and then check the available amps on the Aux.

Make sure the Aux is capable of supplying the amperage.

A better way is to use a controller to adjust the heat level of the liner.

Thanks for responding. I do have a controller. I just like the ideal that wired to the switch the power will be off. The way it is now, its wired to the battery.

Are you worried about running down the battery?
