Fire Department ladders will spoil you, they are the must sturdy ladders you can have, and the standards that they are built under are way better then ladders you could buy at your local home improvement store. Until coming to work at FD I didn't have much experience on ladders, but learned to climb, and use them once I joined. After climbing and using the FD ones and then climbing a "domestic" ladder I realized there is a world of difference. Being a big guy I can definitely tell the difference and the feeling of security when climbing a ladder and not having the ladder bounce all around under me. [smiley=nervous.gif]

I don't mind heights..but i HATE ladders... never had the pleasure of using an FD ladder...
