Looking for opinion from anyone who has either one of these or both. There are no other brands that I am interested in.

I know the 1750 is listed as more commercial use, I like the im3300 clasp release, however there are 2 more clasps than the 1750.

im3300 is just slightly larger, concerned with the wear and tear and structural strength of the im.

The 1750 weighs a few pounds more too.

I have several small Pelican cases that are tough as nails. All Pelican cases have lifetime guarantees and they're both about the same cost.

I'm aware that Pelican acquired the Storm's parent company in 2010.

I've looked on some of the gun forums and they seem split down the middle. Looking for any opinions here from guys I know a little better.

I don't know how much weaker the im3300 is. I may stack other gear on it and even though I can get a replacement, I don't wanna go through that hassle.

The extra room is good for more accessories, just not sure about the weight saving tradeoff.

I don't think you would go wrong with either case. I do like having the extra latches on the ends of the case but again, both are fine cases.

Yea I think it has those end latches because it doesn't have the rigidity of the 1750. I really like the storm latch design for ease of use over the 1750 latches, but then there's two more on the storm to fuss with. Wish they weren't so similar, then it'd be an easy choice. Pelican knew it was good competition so they kept producing it.

I have both Pelican and Storm case products in my arsenal and really cant find any fault with either.  I guess to me, price and availability would be the deciding factors.  Many of my cases weren't bought new in the store but were slightly used cases that I just happened to come across at a good deal.  Both beat the heck out of those "garbage can" cases you see for sale in many stores.

If you had a choice could you choose? It's gonna be a xmas gift for me and there's only a $10 difference between the two so its negligible.

Kinda leaning toward storm for the latching system. Is the case noticeably thinner than the 1750? Like flexible vs rigid

That's really a tough choice to make.  The Pelican case material seems to be made of a more "fibrous" material than the Storm case and I do like the metal tabs around the padlock points.  The ball bearing wheels wouldn't make much difference to me as I normally don't roll mine around.  The Storm case is somewhat thinner wall construction but seem like it would be better for impact protection than the harder material Pelican case.  I guess If I were using it for shipping or airline travel I would probably get the Pelican case but If it was just for transportation from the house to the field for hunting and camping, I'd probably go with the Storm case.  The push button type latches on the Storm case are my favorite and aren't as likely to get caught on something and open. Also I've noticed that the Pelican latches sometimes have a little slop in them when closed and can move around a little, not much, but enough to notice. Again, it's difficult to decide. Why don't you let Santa decide for you?

The 3300 has a pressure release valve which is nice if you ever take your guns on a plane trip. Neither of these would be my choice for air transport though unless it was for non-scoped long guns or perhaps handguns.

Pretty sure both have burp valves, the 3300 is just more prominently displayed

Not looking for air transport, but would have no issue whatsoever with using the 1750 for it.
