I'm never sure when someone posts a link to this cyril huze blog if we are getting a third party "review" or just a copy of the advertising blurb from the company being discussed. So far I've been less than impressed with whoever authored the various blurbs though.
The 944 shocks have been around for awhile now, so I'm not exactly following the tie in to the Rushmore program. The shocks predate Rushmore by at least several years. Is there a new water cooled version of the shock to go along with the water cooled heads? I don't see any tubing and radiators in the photo. The bikes aren't significantly different in terms of weight, they also aren't significantly faster or have significantly different chassis dynamics and clearances. So what is different about the shocks?
For all the guys currently running the 944's, does this mean they should throw those shocks away and buy the "new" Rushmore inspired 944's? How will they know which is which, since they have the same model number and part numbers (the Progressive site only lists two part numbers, standard spring and heavy duty spring, to fit all FLH from 2014 back)? Will the "new" shocks have a Rushmore logo? And the most important question of all, does anyone really GAS about this?
