Updated inter Fairing
« on: December 06, 2013, 03:25:11 PM »

Anyone here of HD coming out with a inter fairing for our older CVO bikes so we can use the new flat screen radio that's on the 2014 models?

No.  Don't trust any rumor you might be hearing on this.  Even if you could mount the radio in the older bikes (which you can't, physically completely different) there arent' the electronics to drive and/or control it.  Two totally different animals.

Why would Harley provide a way to update/retrofit our earlier CVO's when the new touchscreen Navigation/Stereo upgrades on the 2014 alone will cause a lot of guys to trade up to the new model?

Ahh, good point, I figured they want to milk us for every nickel they could get out of us.....I upgraded my 2011 SG to the new saddlebag speakers for 2k, so I figured they'd work me over for another 5-7k for the interfairing. But your point is well taken. Thank you.

Maybe the MoCo would allow us to retro fit a double din head unit, irreguardless of the electronics?? (yea, right!) The MoCo used to be real good about things fitting up from year to year, sorta like the small block Chevy... Not too much anymore...

Would be easier to buy a Pioneer unit with a pop up screen. You can get nav and XM plus some really neat Gage looks on screen.  Unit fits the current space, or at least it did on Road Glide.
