I have a 2013 CVO Road King.  I would like to keep my Iphone/android phone in my pocket and blue tooth Pandora through the sound system via the Iphone/Android.  It would be even better if the bike powered the blue tooth device.  Is there something that plugs into the Apple adapter?

I bought one of these. The link is for the newer version. Looks like the one I have was replaced. Mine works okay, but there is a slight clicking sound at low volume. Once I'm on the road it goes away. Don't know about this one though. http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Receiver-Adapter-Sounddock-Speaker/dp/B0094G44PS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386551677&sr=8-1&keywords=Patuoxun

I'll let you know in about a week. I ordered one from a company called Tenergy, They call it a "mini bluetooth audio receiver "

The Tenergy mini blue tooth adapter finally came.  It's about the size of an Ipod Nano and plugs into the Apple plug in your saddlebag.  I have an android type cell phone which paired without much hassle.   Once paired,  whatever sounds that would normally come out of your cell phone will now come out of the 4 speakers on the 2013 CVO road king.

Remember to crank the volume to the max on your cell phone to minimize background noise.  Despite doing  that, there is still a background hum/hiss that you can hear when there is low volume.  At any riding volume, it is mostly masked.  I tried Google maps and got turn by turn directions out of the speakers.  The only handlebar controls that function are the volume and mute
.
I plan on setting my cell phone to Pandora and leaving it in my pocket for the duration of the ride.  If you are a channel surfer, you may wish to consider a handlebar mount for your cell phone.    For around $23 bucks you can get a lot more out of the 2013 cvo road king sound system.

I have used the Tenergy Bluetooth receiver for a couple of rides.  It has two problems. The background hum that I reported before which is not too noticeable at speed and a second that is resulting in my return of the product.  It pairs easily but looses the pairing every time you turn the bike off.  It is a royal pain to go through the pairing process each time.  No automatic sensing of a previously paired device.  I still like the concept so I will try a different product.

You all need to invest in these.  You can hear your music at a decent level and save your eardrums at the same time.  Riding a motorcycle for more than 45 mins continuously, results in permanent ear damage.

That last thing I would ever want is to ride around with ear buds while riding.   I'd go an up yo there route first.    :nixweiss:
