Raked triple trees
« on: December 14, 2013, 11:15:44 PM »

Just looking for some input on who has had the best results with the different bolt on raked tree kits out there on a road glide. Most complete, no extras and quality stable ride. Thx all :)

Before I purchased a set for my 23" I did a lot of research and decided on Pickard. I don't have any regrets with my choice.

Lately I have been hearing quite a bit of talk about the Tricky trees from Tricky Air. They mayworth looking into and comparing.

I used a set of 9deg 'Tricky Trees' on a '07 RKC with good results. While not the same as a RG, and don't know if the frame mounted fairing would be different, it should have the same results on proper trail, etc. Most all big name trees should perform the same.

Awesome. Thanks guys.  I've heard good about both. Any of you lower the front end as well or just the trees

Yep, I installed the Monotubes at the same time . Went 1" down knowing I might have to change.....never did. Put about 20k on it before selling.

I've run a 1" lowering kit on each setup I've used or sold.

Remember, raked trees change the rake, and NOT the trail. Be careful.  :o

Raked trees designed properly doesn't change the trail.

I imagine all raked trees are not the same.

Quote
Pickard USA has developed the first bolt on bagger tree that has the proper trail for a 23" front wheel.  If you want to mount a 23" wheel to your FL and you don't want to cut your neck, our 23" bolt on bagger trees are a must!  We engineered these trees to bolt onto your stock frame while correcting your front end geometry.  Our engineers reconfigured the tree's geometry and critical dimensions to bring your trail to 6.5, which is right where your stock trail is.  The headlight and fairing angle is corrected so there is no need for a raked fairing or any headlight trim kits.  If you want your frame to sit level, you can run a 1" lowering kit with our extended fork stops and still have plenty of travel.  We are so confident in this product that we offer a 100% wobble free guarantee.
