That looks pretty good, put on a custom seat and it's all set. I didn't notice if that was in cdn or usd pricing on the ticket.

Very nice looking bike price is not far off from a CVO.

The VIN still says a 2014 SG. You talk about loose money when that bike rolls off the showroom floor...WOW.

You said, not a CVO will not hold the value like a CVO will.  Also, someone will be putting a lot more money into this bike with additional mods.

some time ago we discussed "When is a CVO not a CVO" and we also discussed the possibility of a 2014-1/2 CVO Street Glide.  The conclusion (more or less) was that a highly modified stock bike CAN approach or even exceed design and performance points typically enjoyed by CVO owners. HOWEVER, it was noted by many that the VIN determines the pedigree not the extent of aftermarket bling. We also concluded that rather than a new CVO Street Glide, dealers may prefer to dress up stock bikes for added profits.

This is an example of that exercise, a beautiful ($39,500) bike that is many things, but a CVO not.

I totally agree. You can mod the heck out of a stock bike, but in the end it will never return the investment of a CVO model. I've learned this lesson very recently, mods do not add appraisal/book value. I was surprised that bike millage does not factor in book value like cars or trucks; learned something new. But then again, it will bring whatever someone is willing to pay regardless of book value.

I am one of those guys that modified the crap out of a stock 2008 Street Glide and when that got hit from behind I traded what was left of it into the dealer for my CVO. You only live once
