FLHTCUSE or FLHTCUSE2
« on: December 16, 2013, 07:29:17 AM »

I am buying a 2006 CVO, it is advertised as a FLHTCUSE2 in a dealership but it is a 5 speed with 103 cu in engine, am I right in thinking it is a FLHTCUSE not a 2, if not can someone tell the difference between the two types.

FLGHCUSE2 is a 2007.  First year for the 110 cu. in. engine and 6-speed.  Other than these two differences (and color choices), the bikes are basically the same.  Both were the only years with the leather tour-pak.

thanks Highwayking that is what I suspected, I will now question the dealership as to why they are advertising it as a SE2.

Looks like a simple fat finger. Now for Paulsmerc's question. Don't see how a dealership could make that kind of mistake, but its possible. I would check it out close.....compare the tranny & frame # to the engine to make sure its not a parts built bike. That would, of course, greatly effect the value.

Maybe it's a simple fat finger!   :P :huepfenjump3: :P

I stopped being surprised about most dealerships lack of knowledge about CVO bikes a long time ago.

The average CVOHarley member's knowledge and understanding of CVO motorcycles exponentially exceeds the typical dealership employee's knowledge...  :2vrolijk_21:

The color of the bike will also tell you what year it is. CUSE2 colors were red&black, orange&black, and Blue&blue with a splash of silver.

the harley website has a complete history of the cvo bikes from day one to present. this may help you understand a little better.
