Since I didn't win the recent lotto drawing, I have to ask....


This was once co-owned and raced by a (now deceased) long time family friend, Dave Heinz...  It's up for auction at the upcoming Barret Jackson Scottsdale Auction.  I'd sure like to own it!   ::)

Dave Heinz was a family friend and race competitor starting in the early 1960's...  Here's a newspaper clipping from 1961 when my father was the sales manager and Dave was an import car salesman at Forest City Imports in Rockford, IL...  My father started racing sports cars in 1955 (retiring from racing in 1999).  Dave started sports car racing in 1960 and raced until he passed (cancer) in 1992...

In addition to racing Corvettes, Dave also raced off shore power boats.  He was very successful in all his racing endeavors and a great friend.  I'm sure his former car will sell for 6 figures and end up in someone's car museum...
