Not bad but like the video says check with state and local laws. Not sure that would be legal in Virginia like headlight and tail light modulators are for bikes...

IMHO it's a BS product.  It requires the rider to think and look ahead to identify a potential problem and then manually activate those lights.  If a rider already rides defensively and thinks/looks ahead for potential problems, he could just flash his high beams (at no additional cost btw) and be prepared to take evasive action to get the same affect.  What I predict is that people will just wire the things to be active all the time, which of course is illegal pretty much everywhere, and thus irritate the crap out of everyone else on the road.  Just what motorcyclists need, more ways to pizz off the folks they have to share the roads with.

Now if they had a product that used active radar/sonar/camera/psychic input to automatically find those potential nimrods about to turn in front of them they might have something worth crowing about.  Make it so the system automatically fires a laser that disables the offending nimrod's vehicle and even I would buy it. ;)

Yet again, I have to agree with grc. I think I would rather spend the time, maybe only seconds, to look for a way to avoid a dangerous situation rather than thinking.......this may be bad, need to activate my get out of trouble lights.......wait did I just cross a state line? Is it legal in these parts? To late call the Ambulance!

Not sure it would fly (legally) in No. Carolina,  but I kinda like the idea and potential it appears to have to give a quick (heads up/here I am) to that driver slowing or stopped and obviously getting ready to hang a left.  Do they really see you or do they not.......this would very likely be more noticeable  then flicking the high beam switch.

Lots of retired old folks around these parts (guess I am one of them),  and you just cannot be certain if they do or don't see you as you're coming along around 45 mph and there is very limited options you have if they do start across your path cause you didn't register in their fogged up mind as being where you were.............I'd rather pizz them off than be the pizzed off one myself or splattered on the road. :nixweiss:

Change the color of the Lightning Strikes to White... and figure out how to tie it into the rest of the bike's forward lighting and it would be much better.  I run with the Highbeam/Lowbeam/Driving Lights on fulltime, with 50W Driving Lights... if I could get them all to flash all at the push of a button, I think it would help a bit more.

A little pricey for what seems to be standard high intensity strobe LED's. I have what looks to be a very similar set I got on evilbay for much less.

As well as I believe the Motolites to work, I think these would do just as well. Since I have to ride in an area heavy with DWI's to get to work, I may just add these.

I would have to disagree with jerry on this one. Aside from cost and legality, they would be another piece in the defensive driving arsenal. Although flashing ones high beams can help, it is momentary unless repetitively switching the hi/low beam switch which diverts ones attention. Neither application works of course in an unforeseen incident. Automated activation would be ideal.
We have a set of 65W Clearwater aux lights on our BMW that repetitively flash on horn activation, not an end all to getting noticed, just some extra visibility.
Defensive driving is the sum of all it's parts, and with visibility being high on the list, any addition should be welcomed
