Goin Dragula???   Good for you.   I got a friend of mine that has one.  He loves it. I see the bars are started.  You will love those.   I kept the brake and clutch lines black to keep the stock look.  That may change later.   Stay warm.  Stu

18 x 3.5 front
18 x 5.5 rear

Performance Machine milled rims.

Metzler has a 130/70 B 18  63H ME880 that meets the specs of your stock front tire, but they do not have a 180/55 B 18  80H for the rear.  The closest thing I can find in an ME880 for the rear is a 180/55 ZR 18  74.  That's a radial, and the load rating is 74 versus the stock 80 (it's listed for a V-Rod btw).  So the story hasn't really changed from the last umpteen times we've looked for ME880's to fit the CVO's with 18 inch wheels.  And the so-called Metzler rep you talked to obviously didn't bother to consider load rating when he told you his tire would work.  It's kind of sad that a rep for a tire company would either make a mistake, or worse just lie, about a safety related issue.

Thanks Jerry, I agree it's hard to get a straight answer out of the reps for a lot of the after market companies.  Worse yet, when I called PM, they told me that they would recommend the Metzlers as well >:(

As of now I have a set of Avons on the bike that I think are causing a death wobble at around 90 MPH, so those are coming off in the spring and the OEM's are going back on!

I guess I don't find anything wrong with the Dunlap OEM tires.  Great life and good ride.

I have 16000 miles and have gone thru 3 rears.............

holy crap!  yeah, i think you just might be crazy.  i don't ride like a grandpa, but i got 20,000 miles on my rear tire on my 2010.  granted, it wasn't the 18'', but it was the multi-tread compound just like it.  i fully expect to get at least that much out of these tires on my cvo.
