King Tour Pack Dust Cover
« on: January 15, 2014, 03:07:18 PM »

Getting tired of trying to keep my tour pack clean while it sits on a rack in my garage.  Was thinking there has to be someone out there that makes a cover for it or something like a laundry bag you can put over it with draw string you can use as a dust cover.

Anybody out there got a suggestion?

Why not cover the whole bike when in storage?

Pete check w/a dealer... when they come from MoCo they have a white cloth like cover on them. When I got my bike the dealer gave me the cover... I believe the saddlebags also have similar type covers. I keep my KTP covered with it and it seems to do the job.

His bike (like mine) has a detachable TP... and stays off most (unless traveling) the time. :)

Try an old flat bed sheet I use one to cover my tour pack when not in use.

Thanks Gary, now I remember yours, great for hiding a tour pack that hasn't had the billet hinges installed! :huepfenlol2:

I use a backpack rain cover when I store my tour pak during the summer. Also use this cover on my T-Bag as a rain cover when traveling. It has a cinch cord for a little bit of adjustment. REI sports, Cabellas, or Eastern Mt. Sports where I got mine should have them.      JoeS

I took mine in yesterday to the Dealer to have the four point hardware changed as the plating on it was not very good at all. The replacement part was not any better, guess they are just doing a poor job on that part. My tour pack spends most of its time not on the bike as well and the Dealer even commented on the dust, next time in I will asking for one of those shipping covers.

The pic below will show the style of covers I'm speaking of...

The pic above is not showing one on the TP not sure if it was already removed or the leather TP didn't have them. Either way you get the idea.

Looks like a slide for tour paks. Do you hoist one end up and down?
