I had no idea that DCFireman is V's man!  I haven't spent a great deal of time reading different posting on the site.  I've read some on training, V-rods, etc., but never did I realize who DCFireman was until now.

I know that I just got a "get out of jail" free card with Anne....she brought one of her Tags in for a new battery to a local jeweler...where I bought it from actually.  While there he offered to clean her engagement ring.  She let him and then she mentioned about upgrading (God help Me!).  

Well, the guy must have read the Man-Law handbook, because he immediately said that it was a beutiful stone and she sould just change the setting.  16 years ago and a lot less money, I chose by quality and not multiple carat...well, that paid off in this case!

I've been thinking of doing something to "upgrade" my wifes ring (very high quality 3/4 carat), and can't see much sense in just throwing the old one in a jewelry box to collect dust.
