The only bikes with linked brakes so far are the Touring models.  The Softail Deluxe has regular ABS brakes, not the new linked system.

And it's only 2014 models.  No prior years on a Harley.  So with the 2014 model Mother Harley took a striding leap forward to what the Goldwings first started doing in 1983.

Don't know about current GWs but the older ones had the linkage full time whereas with the new moco the 'link' only works above a certain speed (25mph - can't recall for sure?).  That is one thing that always turned me off about linked brakes - could not drag / feather the rear brake during slow speed maneuvers without also getting some front brake.  If the moco version works as advertised it would be a significant improvement imo.

These new brakes are working as advertised!  Prob one of the best improvements yet!  Had linked brakes on an old Guzzi LeMans (77 model) and back then didn't even know wwhat trail brakin was all about.  Took RLAP course last year and was practicing some last weekend and I gotta tell ya these linked brakes are the bomb!

Ok thanks.  I thought the Softail is classified as a touring model
