1961 model year here....that just sounds so funny when you say it out loud.  Sure don't feel (or act like, if you ask my wife) a almost 53 year old.

We had channels 3, 9 and 12 (all from Chattanooga), the HUGE RCA record player (size of a chest-of-drawers) that I listened to Marty Robbins, Perry Como and Dean Martin on all the time (all my parents would hear....)
My prized electronic purchase was when I was 16 and had a recordable 8-track player built into my HI-FI record player....that was the bee's knees...

Now, iPhone has 14Gig of all my music and got DirecTV with 500 channels of which only about 3 of them worth a darn.... :2vrolijk_21:

If you can remember the 60's, you weren't really there!       :nervous:   :huepfenlol2:

Born in the late 40's, drank out of a garden hose and still survived.  Who would have thought it!

1953 model here. got our first color TV in about 67. Our B&W had to have a converter box so we could see the UHF stations. There were no VHF stations close enough to recieve them. VHF was in the LA area or San Fran. We got channels living in the central valley of California. ABC, CBS and NBC. 24 and 30 from Fresno and 47 from Backersfield. We had a rotater on our antenna with a controller  on top of the TV. Pointed it north for Fresno and South for Bakersfield. THe first car I remember my folks haveing was a 1949 Desoto.
