This might be a sign on things to come.  Open house this Saturday.  Refer to the owner name in the upper left.

Man I was feeling bad that I was lusting for something other than my Harley then I saw this post.  Looks like a whole lot of us have given up on them.  May just buy an old Victory Vision so I don't have to fool around cleaning it or worrying about someone stealing it.  I'm with twolane, goldwings are really one hell of a nice bike.  O well just another happy customer. :nervous:

The dealer network stinks.  In SoCal, the closest dealer (according to their dealer search function) is in San Diego, Las Vegas and then Peoria AZ.  Why are they having such a difficult time getting dealers?  There are lots of big Polaris (and Victory) dealers that have not signed up to sell Indian.  I am interested in purchasing an Indian in a few years, but want to see a continued commitment from Polaris, reliability history, and some dealer expansion.  SJ Ron :)

I agree.  At the Indian display and Demos in Sturgis they were saying they would have over 100 dealers by February 2014.  Check out their  Web site and you can decided...

Still a little scared, only 3 dealers in NC. I got 3 HD dealers in 20 mi and I live in the sticks.

Iron Pony just became an Indian dealer here in Columbus.  Bikes to arrive in 2 to 3 weeks.

maybe, collectively this forum could own/operate one or two indian dealerships! one east, and of course one west. we need a finance man. any suggestions. we need a service dept. can anybody say they all do that? just kidding. the forum could sell new indians at cost to members and offer previously ridden cvos. we could offer riders training. someone let passmeabeer know that we will offer the training. we will need plenty of blue ones in the new inventory. it has been said on this site that blue is faster. i know you guys can make suggestions to improve our plans and dealerships. polaris should welcome us with open arms as they are way short of the 100 dealership goal they have set. i would like to apply for the job of test riding the bikes as soon as the dealership needs that position filled. anybody else in?!

I was giving some serious thought about one after all the good I read about them, but as others mentioned ... the dealer network sucks so Ducati got my money instead.

Took the Chieftain for a demo ride in San Diego last week.  Very nice!  But, I won't be purchasing one anytime soon.  My garage is maxed out and I would need to sell a Harley -- and that's not going to happen.  SJ Ron :)

I saw an Indian Semi truck all painted up with The Indian logo on it today. Looked good. Must be getting a shipment here in Michigan.
