Bar adapter

What did most of you do? Not real crazy about the 1 1/4" adapter that wraps around the 1" bars. Has anybody used an older set of risers on their SE bike? Thinking about hunting up a set, but would like to know if they work before wasting my time & Mod Money that is needed elsewhere!!

Jimmy,

I'm getting ready to put bars on the wife's Breakout and was wondering the same thing.  Most of the reasonably priced bars have a 1" clamping area.  The higher priced bars that BR or Bucky make you can get a 1.25" clamping area.   If the adapter works without problems, then I really don't have a problem with it.  I believe that Wild One sells the adapter.  I'll be waiting to read the replies.

I agree!! I was not crazy about it either, but it works great. It did seem pricey though..
