The weather dude keeps talking about a "Polar Vortex" keeping temps low around here. I just gotta ask how come we never get a "Tropical Vortex" in February and what did we do to get Canada so mad that they're sending us all this cold :nixweiss:

Somehow I just figured where this thread was heading and knew eventually we would get the blame for it.

Well, I'm blaming Russia sending this cold weather right over the top from Siberia!

 ;D

Only six more weeks and we'll all be riding... And that should put a smile on everyone's face.

We're in another cold snap...  -5F as I write this.

The weatherman said this month is the second coldest February in recorded history with an average daily temperature of 11.2F.    :nervous:

My next door neighbor got stuck at the end of his driveway yesterday. I thought I would give him a hand by driving through my yard to his driveway then pull him up it. Needless to say that was a dumb plan and I buried my Ford Raptor in about 30 inches of snow. When I opened the door to get out I was pushing snow. Luckily 3 out of 4 of my vehicles are 4 WD so I hooked up a tow strap and pulled the Raptor back into my driveway. Then went out in our busy road and blocked traffic while I pulled him backwards instead. All to help out a neighbor! This winter has just beat me down. I am SO Over it!

One year when we still lived in Ohio, I was going down our lane which was a half mile long.  Thought I would be smart and plow it as I drove. Dropped the plow at about 30 MPH in deep snow.  Truck went off the lane, through the deep snow and as the tire spun sunk in the mud.  Went to get my big Ford Tractor and it would not turn over so I went to bed.  Temperature dropped below zero overnight.  Had to call a friend to bring his backhoe to dig out the truck.  Never dropped the plow at speed again.  By the way it was a beer induced moment I am usually not that stupid. :huepfenlol2:

Snowing...again....I'll blame the Russians too - us North Americans have to stick together  ;D

Only 21 days until spring  :confused5: - on the calendar anyway. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 6 weeks to get out for a ride.

On another note the roads are absolutely torn up around here this winter with HUGE potholes everywhere. The State dept of trans was just saying they had a shortage of salt for the roads last week and I can foresee them soon saying they don't have enough asphalt material to fix the dang craters..... :soapbox:

I'm taking Chips advice and moving south  :2vrolijk_21:

Another polar vortex has descended upon us AGAIN! More snow to come our way this Monday/Tuesday. This ain't gonna end anytime soon. So...

I'm thinking with this winter dragging on, it's time to mod the bike and add flaming wheels plus a flaming helmet/gloves. I should be all set.
