Terry,

Glad to hear that it is fixed and that it was found before you did any damage to anything.   It's also refreshing to hear the dealer took care of you right away.

The torquing sequence is a must.

That nut gets torqued to 165ft#, so it's pretty tight.

May seem unrelated, but by chance did you lower your passenger footboards to their lowest position? I did and it resulted in an interference between the mount and the primary case that I could feel through my left rider footboard and could hear a clunk under similar conditions you described. Moved it back up to center position and problem was gone.

Now, with the Rineharts, a chrome starter almost seems a "must" doesn't it, Terry? [smiley=nervous.gif]

You just had to say that, didn't you?  :P :P  There is definitely a "hole" there that needs to be filled.  Neutral switch cover will add a bit, and Kurakyn makes a cover for the area between the transmission and rear cylinder....have you checked that one out?  Also needs the Oil Filler Spout cover.  Chrome Starter?  Any ideas on how a man can ruin the black one without being too obvious?  I'd pay the difference for the chrome, but I have a hard time pulling a perfectly good starter out... [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I'll tell you one thing....I LOVE these RH's on my bike.  After running 600+ miles yesterday, the noise is not an issue, and the bike is just purring now after the tune...running better than it ever has!!
