Remote Pager Receiver II
« on: November 19, 2006, 08:39:39 PM »

Just picked up my 07 SE Ulta :) 10 days ago and I'm new to this. Does anyone know if the secrity system comes with the Smart Siren II or the Smart Siren?

It comes with the Smart Siren, not the Smart Siren II. To the best of my knowledge you would have to change to the Smart Siren II for that pager to work.

You're right the pager only works with the Smart siren II.

And the batteries in the new Pager sure go fast...

the old pager, with the AAA battery lasted much longer.

But I like the new one.

hey thanks DooD  i will go try it now. i ordered the pager II  and the siren II yesterday cause the dealer said it didnt have it. Since i havnt been able to leave the garage and turn the puter on.....(for some B/O reason)   ha ha ..
i didnt get this advise.   i am off to garage to get a chirp.  oh yeah  at 139 mi the clutch stopped disenguaging.  after it cooled for 30 min worked again. full of fluid... seems like  it needs adjusting. hydrolics seem fine  from new clutch comes off right at the bottom.   they will check it wednesday   if it dont snow!!!   man i love that heated seat and grips.....

well this site rules!! i got the chirp with this places info and cool peoples willingness to offer it.  Thanks Dood for the help.  The book is wrong about the procedure for the security system alert mode.   I also checked the clutch's fluid line tightness before riding  the machine and it took a 1/8 turn  but alas 139 mi later the clutch she grabs so that you cant get netural. fluid is full and i decided since they will be taking the derby off to check it  I am gonna let em put the chrome inner primary on. I was gonna do it but will feel more secure about the warrenty with this real grabby clutch. I remember the shop forman saying how grabby it was and thought it needed to break in a bit. When checkin the fluid again tonite in the lights in the shop i did notice a wierd film in the fluid..hmm  wonder if a bit of dot 5 got in with the 4  during pdi?

Thanks Jerry,   I am going to bleed and flush it in a few. Good point about the assembly lube. it was very predictable with reguards to temp.  all this has been while <40 degrees out.  My first thought was clutch plates not liking the redline  MTL  i have in it.  I remember my old ducati  hated anything except aeroshell 50.  il'l let ya know after the bleed.  thanks
