Seat Mods
« on: February 02, 2014, 05:06:01 PM »

So, as others have stated, Mean City doesn't want to modify the CVO seats. I will be looking for someone to modify a 14 Limited seat, does anyone have any suggestions for someone for this?
Yes, I already used the search function and after 2 hours of looking through everything but what I want I'm done with that, lol.

Thanks, Rick

Check this thread, Seth would be a good guy to try. Everyone seems to be happy with his work.Seth @ Auto Originals, (505-327-1078) Farmington, N.M. http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=89530.0

I stated numerous options to them for mods and they "very nicely" refused to do anything with a CVO Limited seat.

It's starting to look like the newly developed "Dual Touring Saddle" for the 14' CVO Limited from Corbin.

"The Ball & Chain" and I love the Corbin!!!
I shopped the guy in WA and he was a lot more $$$ to rebuild my seat, than a new Corbin.

last year at Daytona I had my SG seat re-foamed with this cellular foam stuff that is guaranteed for life.  very comfy. Google Astech or Asstech seats.  the whole thing was about a $150.  they did it in about 2 hrs.

I haven't talked to them yet, but they came recommended by my local shop, the guy who is custom building my other bike, and I've heard they do really good work - A bit pricey, but from what I gather, worth every penny, and if Mean City wont do it, guess it's these guys I'll be headed to for my CVO seat as it WILL need work

x2 on Riches! He does amazing work. He has done 4 seats for me, perfect every time. He can go as basic or exotic as you want. Here is his # if you want it.

Contact Rich's custom seat in Washington. They took my original seat added all their magic gel etc. and a heater Seat feels better and got me closer to the ground and the heater works fantastic.

So yeah, Bitchn Stichn is more than willing to work on my CVO seat. They want me to set an appointment and bring the bike, my butt, and the wife's butt in for best fitment. Of course, not everyone can do that, so call/email them about sending your seat in (for anyone that wants to use them). They came very recommended. Once I'm home in July after this deployment and get the seat done, I'll let you know.

I was disappointed that Mean City wouldn't even touch the seat at all. I told them they could completely redo the seat, I just wanted to keep the cover materail. They straight up said no, they wont touch ANY CVO seat at all. Not enough to work with and the way they seats are designed was the reasoning.  :nixweiss: I'm not an upholstery person, so I can't say one way or the other

My 07 when the seat pan broke and changed the padding and recovered one for my 09. His full time job is seat guy for the airlines. Most of his prices are very good plus he is close to you. business is High Rollers and Butch is the man. PM me if you want his number.
