Hi!
Just bought a 2009 CVO Springer Softail 2 weeks ago :-)
How it comes? In my early years i was driving a Honda VF1000R and liked fast
motorcycling a lot. Maybe to much - because had a bad accidant with
more or less 12 month in hospital to think about it.
After that experience i changed to classic cars. I allways liked American sport cars and Muscle cars
a lot. Found a wonderfull original 1970 454 Corvette 17 years ago and still have it :-)
Some years later i bought other sport cars but never had that special wooow feeling. This changed
when i was in vacation in Florida. Was driving with a Shelby Cobra - fast like a Motorcycle and a thrill
to drive. Needed some years to spare all my extra money and to bought a 1965 Superformance Cobra
with a Roush 427R engine. Thats still my car with the wow-feeling - and think this will never change :-)
So i never thought i will buy a Motorcycle again in my life.
Some weeks ago there was a Custom bike show in my area. Was there with my girlfriend and have
seen some very nice Motorcycles. One of the nicest one was a 2009 CVO springer softail. I had no
idea and thought it was a custom bike - after some talks with the seller and lots of time in the
internet i was knowing more - it is an orginal bike with exception of the exhaust (Kesstech),
airfilter, a lower handlebar. Normally i do not like black green but at this bike i like it a lot.
After lots of sleepless nights and thinking about sense (dangerous, short summers in Austria, money....)
i thought you only life once and bought it with my girlfriend! :-)
Now i hope that summer will come soon - can not wait to drive it!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Now it is here and can not believe that it is mine - absolutely happy with it - think it is a wonderfull bike :-)
The only thing i will change is the seat. It looks great and its comfortable for the driver, but it is not very
assfriendly for the passenger. Was searching on the internet and found 2 solutions:
- the Sundowner seat from Harley
- the Danny Grey weekday2-up XL
Think i will go with the Danny Grey one - in my opinion it looks better at this bike and hope
it will be an improvement for passenger comfort. Would be great to hear any experience about
Maybe a sissy bar will follow but first we will try without - i do not like the look with it.
Wish you a great day and hope i will not ask to stupid questions in the future :-)
Peter
PS: sorry about my bad english
