T.B. Flow rates % of increase?
« on: February 03, 2014, 06:41:14 PM »

Does any body know how much more a SE high flow 58mm TB moves in Volume by % more than stock TBW 50mm TB. I have PV tuner and will use this to work out how much to increase Acceleration Enrichment to smooth out stumble.

This won't make sense to you right away, and...  I don't know the answer to your question. but here goes...

You have a Drive by Wire bike.  Most likely you will need to DECREASE AE not increase it.  Way way more goes on than you think.  This is NOTHING like a carb... drive by wire....  Can you make it stumble in the driveway?  If so, pull the AC and watch the butterfly.  99% chance that butterfly will be actually 'waving' at you when you make it stumble.

Short version....The ECM commands the blade to open.  AE kicks in with too much fuel.  The closed loop sees this too much fuel and closes the blade in response.  But... it then still sees the throttle is being commanded open and opens back up.. again.  This all happens fast, too.

What tuner are you using?  Different tuning devices take slightly different approaches to fix the 'bye bye syndrome'.  Oh... I see you have the PV.  What throttle progressivity are you using?  If you have it all set to 100%, you will need to tone that down to more like stock AND lower the AE.

Here's an observation of mine.  The more compression and the more porting... all with a smaller kind of cam, exacerbates this situation.  I say this, because I don't know off of my head what a Genesis 577 is, and/or whether you had the heads ported.
