Question about my o2 sensors regarding tune
« on: February 05, 2014, 06:03:01 PM »

I am in the middle of an exhaust swap from D&D to Dragula and while swapping my O2 sensors I noticed the front cylinder sensor was black and the rear was basically white. Can someone explain if this signifies anything? Is the rear cylinder running to lean or the front too rich?

Could be a few things but the Black one isn't right. The tune would be the first place to go looking, then from there, O2 placement in the pipe.

Steve thanks for the reply. The O2 sensors are placed in the provided location on the pipe. I just installed them into the Dragos. I will get a map from Fuel Moto for initial start up until I can get the bike professional tuned using my Power Vision.

Wouldn't surprise me, I had nothing but trouble with the pipe so I sold it and bought one of Frank Dragos.  ;D

They are not the only ones! Fuel Moto, V&H, Bub and several others are terrible too.

I have never seen one of Franks pipes, but I can say he has been on the phone with me more than a few times about the issues. He really expressed an interest in getting it right on his pipes. The ones I mentioned I have first hand experience with not working worth a damn. Others I have only heard from customers about issues with them and seen pictures. Its sad that these people are not willing to spend the time to see if what they produce even works right before letting it out the door. Most choose to ignore it and blame someone or something else for there problems. If I bothered to save all of the pictures of pipes rubbing, O2's that will not work right and plating falling off the pipe most of you would $hit your pants.

One of the ones I mentioned sold the customer the full boat,  pipe, mufflers, A/C and tuner. For a year the customer did everything he was told and even bought more product trying to solve the issues. Then was told its not covered and the tuning must have been done wrong, and they supplied the damn tuning! Pipe rubbed the brake lever and plating fell off, bike ran hot. Which was just why he started down the road with them in the first place. Finally took the bike to someone else who had to dent the pipe to make it clear then tuned it properly, problems solved.

That might also explain why mine with the D&D is running hot. I'm just starting to wonder if a stock pipe with the cats removed is the way to go along with some slip ons.  :-X

I see you have the famous D&D rear pipe color band going! Exactly why I ditched mine. Hoping Franks pipe does much better.

There's this new company with a great product.

I think it's called Fullsac.

If your running a 2 into 1 you must be riding with a half/sac.

Just sayin, , ,
