First year and bike that was a CVO
« on: February 06, 2014, 09:34:05 AM »

Hey every one, I was wondering in what year the first CVO was created and sold, and which bike was chosen chose to be pimped out.  I guess there would be pictures out there somewhere. Cheers.

Of course that's the start of the bikes officially designated CVO bikes. I wonder if someone could argue that the older bikes labeled as anniversary bikes (50 yrs. etc.) or the 1976 Bicentennial bikes, The Sturgis model and others could be considered a blinged out limited edition "custom bike" thereby deserving the label too? Of course they weren't built in a separate Custom Vehicle Operations section apart from the regular assembly line. Then again neither are the latest CVO bikes........So should the newer bikes loose the CVO designation?

The HD site lists two models FXR2 in either "arresting RED" or "stone cold BlUE", and an FXR3 in either two tone "candy emerald GREEN" or bright/dark candy BLUE" both with flames.

Of course the blue ones with flames are always the fastest

Phil,

Your FXR looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor!

You got the best of both worlds!

Hope all is good. Well other then all that crazy white stuff you guys been getting.
