« on: February 08, 2014, 02:16:50 PM »

This should be interesting. TTS is unveiling it today at the show.

Details will be on his website the first of the week.

Can you say FAST DATA RATE?   :2vrolijk_21:

So, what all does it do? What is it used with?

It allows you to put in 4 channels of configurable 0-5v analog data.  You configure the channels in datamaster.  Broad band O2 controllers usually have analog outputs.  The output of the sensor can tell you AFR. Example: 0v = 7.35 AFR and 5v = 22.39, and all voltage in between.  This also rings true for EGT sensors and controllers.

I am going to use my Innovate LC-2's with it, but with being fully configurable.  I can see daisy chaining a boost gauge for exhaust pressure reading also, or what ever I can think of for testing.

Thanks Steve.  We have been bugging him to do this for awhile.

What this will do is allow tuners to add "other" things they may want to look at in real time along with what the ECM is doing. Anything from clutch slippage to temperature and pressure readings are just some of what can be done, it's only limited by what the user can think of. Racers can really use it along with the Flight Recorder to record things realtime when racing very easily in a small compact unit! While not for everyone it is something that some people have asked us to offer. So now it's done and we are moving on to do other items for the product. What we showed were pre-production units at the show and we're trying to get an idea how how many people are truely interested in it. The final Cost is greatly effected by how many we produce so the idea is to get a feel for how many we need to make in the first production run. This will help determine the final outcome of the cost part of the new product. Small production runs are assembled on hand assembly lines while larger runs are on automated machinery.

I was one of those asking, and I'm liking it.   :2vrolijk_21:  I would have been happy with two inputs, the second set of two is just an added bonus.

I'm already looking into drilling some holes in my heads and installing pressure transducers.  MBT!!!!!!!

Wizard,

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are a street tuner?  Do you plan on using this and how?

Steve,

Do you think it could be configured for 4gas?  O2 is analog but HC, CO, CO2 is digital.  Do you think those could be sent to analog and then configured in Datamaster?

Doubtful. The number of bikes I assist doesn't qualify the purchase.

About half of the bike owners are stage II with low to medium lift cams. The rest are stock or stage I. There is no real need for me personally to use a 4 channel analyzer. The TTS 2 is satisfactory for them and me since tuning is classified as hobbyist for me.

However, if I were totally into tuning as a "real" job and wanted to extend the perfection of my tuning ability/knowledge I would jump all over this. The additional channels for collecting data and the unreal data collection rate would be very helpful with troublesome builds or just checking the analytical on the normal tune bikes.

Obviously there is more to this than I'm telling so let Cole fill you guys in.

At this time this is as far as were going with this unit, the 4 channels are analog so you would need to hook to some form of analog to use it. You might contact a 4 gas manufacture and see if they would/could generate an analog output for the gases or get a converter box that you would add to it's output.

I'll send this over to Marc Salvisberg (Factory Pro) and see what he thinks. Thanks...

Looks like the new updates for some of the TTS software has 4 channel analog updates in it.  We are getting closer.

The software update released yesterday has all the 4 channel Analog data collection fully active. It can be used with all current electronics and the new Analog unit. We hope to be able to have the new units over the next month or so as parts have started showing up in house and we hope to have them all in house over the next two weeks. Then assembly and test of the units can begin. We should have a final cost shortly after the parts arrive here. There are also updates in this software release to update things for Vtune3 as well but I cannot give a timeline when the Vtune3 software will be released. It is in testing right now and this software package had to be done prior to being able to complete the Vtune3 product. Here is a picture of the new Analog unit.

Steve, it would be really nice to have something that allowed us to make changes in real time similar to a Power Commander but write the tune to the ECM after the changes are final. This could speed up the tuning process by avoiding flashes until the final map is made and as a guy who runs a dyno with a torque cell that shows power in real time, there's not anything more satisfying as a dyno operator than hearing that engine change tone, seeing that torque and horsepower increase instantaneously and seeing those front forks squat from the power you just tapped into in real time. I know I've spoken with you about this before and it would be costly to do but how costly? I would be willing to pay a pretty good amount of money for that. Have any other shops asked for anything like that? BTW, I don't mean to steal the thunder of your new hardware. I think that's a great new feature and I look forward to seeing the new actual volumetric efficiencies that are coming. Thanks!

Add: TTS is still my favorite tuning interface. Just FYI... :)
