What do y'all think (good or bad) about the +1.5 Oil Pans from SE or Baker?
Do you think that they really lower the oil temps enough to make a difference on my 113 "Sport Touring" motor??

Are there any other benefits / drawbacks?
The +1.5s are pricy SE- $599, Baker-$795 (Baker does offer Granite).
Should I just save my $$$?
Thanks,
Yes, you should save your money. IMHO you will see very little peak temperature difference, definitely not enough to justify the cost. What you will definitely see is a longer time required to get the engine and oil up to full operating temperature (not so much in Florida of course, but it could make a difference in less tropical climates). For folks doing short rides in cool temps that could be a negative.
Higher oil capacity is one of those "feel good" deals in this situation. As in "if a little bit is good, a lot more must be better". Those famous words have caused a lot of wasted money and some actual problems over the years. Now if your intent was to extend your oil change intervals, a higher capacity combined with a top synthetic oil and good filter would allow you to do that. But I don't hear too many Harley riders talking about extending the change intervals. If you stick with the standard 5k change, that $600 - $800 plus labor oil pan will just cost you an extra $20 each change for the extra oil.
If you really want to cool the oil more effectively, invest that money in a good ten row fan assisted oil cooler, like the one from Jagg.
