I have the HD floating on the front of my FXWG since '93 and thought it was ok. That was until I put the Russell floater on my Pro Street just this week. I think the next change will be a Russell floater on my FXWG. The new SERK's use the V-Rod type 2-piece floaters. Are these rotors better than the typical one piece HD floaters that we're complaining about here? Thanks. Hoist!

Hoist,

Got me confused with that one.  The ones we've been dissecting and 'dissing' are two piece floaters.  The one piece "wave" rotors aren't true floaters, if that is what you're thinking of.

Jerry, I have the type you've shown here on my FXWG. The new SERK's use what they refer to as "Open Type Floating" as on the V-Rods on the front and "Uniform Expansion" type on the rear. I'm trying to determine what's different about them. If you look at the pictures of a new SERK you can see that it's a different type of front rotor. I'm not familiar with the V-Rod so I'm not sure what makes them different. Hoist!

I stand corrected. My '03 has the rotors you pictured. Guess I was thinking about my '00. Are these the rear rotors on the '07 SERK & CUSE? Hoist!
