Yes - TC was very convincing when describing the quality and ride they provide.  I normally drop my bikes an inch or two.  The Legends give the best of both..lower when necessary and no loss of suspension travel..

What about the Brembo's on the SE V-Rods. Seems to me when I had my 05 V-Rod ( non Brembo brakes) the P/N's for the brakes were the same as the ones on touring bikes. I am assumming that the 06 and 07 V-Rods that come with Brembo brakes still have the same front forks.I'm thinking the Brembo's offered in the parts catalogue should fit my FLTR. Anyone got anything to offer on this ?

It's been awhile, but "pappy2" tried that: http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1132373412/24#24

In his last post in that thread (reply #69), he reported not being able to find the proper brackets to make it work, although "grc" did point him to the qtmi website for help. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Brian,
Before I took my current position with my company, I was a designer, I am also a licensed journeyman fabricator. If I could get my hands on a pair of the SE V-Rod Brembo's I could figure out the brkts and have them made. Keep your eye out for some for me would you ?

Thanks

Pair of fronts on eBay for $640 Buy It Now, or you might be able to snag them for $600 if you are the only bidder.  6 1/2 days left.  Link: V-Rod Brembos

Same vendor (St. Paul H-D) has the rear for $380 Buy It Now.

Probably not the best deal on earth, but $1K for Brembos isn't too bad!

Hey Spiderman,  I like your idea.  I was at the dealer today and measured the mounting bolt center to center dimensions of the Vrod and FLH calipers, and they seem identical.  However, the Vrod disk seems slightly larger than the FLH.  After leaving, I thought that I should have measured the distance from the center of the lower mounting bolt to the center of the axle.  A slightly larger measurement here on the Vrod may mean this could work - if I'm thinking right.  The parts guy was not a lot of help, but he said he thought it "just might work."  True encouragement if there ever was any.
