dj,
Thanks for the photo it brings up a question. Is there anything that can be done to prevent this or other buildups/deposits from forming on the injectors? I'm thinking good quality fuel would be one source, but was wondering if some of the over the counter additives on a periodic basis would be worth using?

dj,
Thanks for your reply. This past summer I noticed my dealer had this new product/service that they were saying that would clean your injectors, intake valves, and ports manufactured by "BG". They were saying that this service would clean all the above-mentioned items and would be sufficient for approximately 10k miles. It was fairly inexpensive ($75) so I opted for this treatment. Below are copies of the brochure that was given to me, also you can refer to this post - Won't be riding this weekend - no warranty for the procedure that was done during the application.

I've never used it in my bikes, but used BG44K in cars and trucks, stuff works great. It works so good that if you put it in a vehicle that's really been neglected, it can loosen up stuff and clog fuel filters, jets, or injectors, the BG44K is usually about $19.00.  :2vrolijk_21:
