Bluetooth Communications
« on: March 03, 2014, 01:10:22 AM »

I'm looking at purchasing the Uclear HBC200 Bluetooth communication device and the Uclear universal earbuds for me and the wife. We've recently started wearing our helmets full time, this makes talking impossible. We are planning a trip to Niagara Falls this May and and would like to have a system before Hand. Has anyone used these? I would like your opinions.

I don't have any experience myself, as I am in the market for a set-up, too.

Leaning toward the SENA setup due to having a 1/2 helmet.

I know it's just marketing, but there is a video review along with customer feedback here ->  http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/u-clear-hbc200-force-bluetooth-communicator-dual-pack#reviews_tab

Best of Luck.

The Sena SMH-10 works amazing.  You can communicate and receive calls while riding.  We rode to Los Angeles from Detroit and the Sena devices made the trip.
We were able to talk the entire way and callers could not even tell I was on my bike.  Crystal clear communication.  I give it 5 stars all the way!

This is what I use. The ease of use is great. Every once in a while we have to re-sync it for cell phone use. But it works very well for us and we get great battery time. We use it on a half helmet but they also have mounts for 3/4 and full helmets.

Plus this system seems to be what most of my friends use. So if we hook up with them for a ride it's easy to sync up with them so we can have multiple bike communications

"The Ball & Chain" and I really like our Cardo Q3 Teamset.

No matter what brand that you choose, Revzilla is the place to shop!!!
Outstanding Customer Service!!!

The Q3 has a plug for earbuds.

We have used Scala rider G4  for 4 years now they are great. But Sena just came out with a 20 s that will be available in April. Great features and will mate with any brand. The Scala batteries are not lasting  more than 6 hours now and can't be replaced  by me. I like the Sena 20s as you can use ear buds  which really make the music sound great.  We have ridden over 60,000 miles with the units nice to be able to talk to each other. Revzilla has the best prices on both units so far. Billy

Craptastic!    I specifically bought the Bell Mag 9 for the Sena for my wife - and now they come out with a better mousetrap!!!

I hope they will come up with the S20 designed to fit the Bell helmet and the 1/2 helmet version.   Makes me want to wait before buying in...

The ability to link with other sets is priceless!

Not sure if we have the Sena 20 here in the UK - but love my scala G4 twin set. as well as bike to bike multiple comms (works within range of a mile), it hooks up with my garmin GPS which in turn hooks up with my mobile ...all by bluetooth......and you can also use a wire to link an ipod....and it's got an FM radio built in. Sound quality is brilliant.....I took a work conference call whilst riding on the motorway and they couldn't beleive I was on my bike!
