O2 Sensor
« on: March 03, 2014, 09:14:18 AM »

Two quick questions:
1. is there a way to test the O2 sensor or does it alway give a code?
2. is it possible to change them on the bike or do you need to remove the header?
Thanx all

1. If you have a Powervision you can monitor O2 voltage in real time.  Not sure if you can do that with other tuners.

2. Depending on your exhaust, yes you can remove them with the header on the bike.  I've been able to do it with a Fatcat and a Jackpot.

1. Can you kind of get me started, I have the Power Vision on my bike now.
2. I have the stock exhaust

Thanx

If you pull up the gauges, you can display front and rear O2 sensor voltage.  I don't have mine handy, soI can't walk you through step-by-step, but you should see the options there when you get into a gauge template.

You should be able to set up a gauge package that displays 2, 4, or 6 different functions.  Once you pick your template, press in the empty box to choose what you want to display.  IIRC, the O2 voltage readings are under the "advanced" or "pro" menu.

That'll display the voltage in real time.

Are you trying to troubleshoot something?

I am having on going serious issues and troubleshooting blindly through it inthe hope I stumble upon the cause.  My HD dealers have not fixed the issue after many failed attempts (see my post "Round 3".

Anyway in short I would like to verify that the O2 sensors are working the way they should.  I will set the gauges up, but what voltage tolerences am I looking for?

Thanx

Not a problem at all.

But like I said in the other thread, I'll bet it's a bad ECM.
