Harley has one inch belts, and they also have 24mm belts.  If you're still talking about a 2009 e'glide then the original belt would have been part number 40024-09 and the parts list for that model and year shows that part as a one inch belt with 140 teeth.  Is the belt on the bike now the original, or a replacement?  I noticed that the current Harley catalog listing at some of the online Harley dealers for that same part number shows the belt to be a 140/24 now.  In other words, 140 teeth, 24mm wide.:nixweiss:  The aftermarket folks still show it as a one inch belt btw.

The new belt is exactly 1 inch and it is after market. My manual says 1 inch ...... go figure. Maybe it is worn some  :nixweiss: .....it puzzles me.  ???
