Anyone changed out intakes?
« on: November 23, 2006, 11:33:55 AM »

Just wondering what some of you have changed to.  I like the Kuryakyn Pro R hypercharger, but they do not have one for 06's.  They tell me the 05 version works if you drill into the T/B, but I'm not interested in that.  I am leaning towards the forcewinders, but find them on so many choppers.  Any ideas...  The stock cover just doesn't do it for me.  Show me what ya got.

Both the Wimmer and Kuryakyn are cool.  I noticed the jpcycles catalog lists the Pro R for an 06.  There is an * next to the part number which probably means there is some special fitting info.  I actually called Kuryakyn and they said the ones for the 05's had to be drilled into the T/B.  I asked them if they were making a plug and play type for the 06's and they said yes, that was 8 months ago...

Anyone got a forcewinder on their Fatboy?

I installed the new SE intake.  It's a nice fit when riding and I like the look.

fatboy,
that looks better than I thought it would. It looks a little better than the forcewinder.

PS: I don't suppose you are going to re-tune with that change R U? also I can't remember if your bottom end is still stock from when you done your up-grades a while ago? If so, I imagine your stealer said it could handle the extra tq & hp ok.

I agree, they did a nice job and the extra chrome makes me happy 8-)

The whole engine has been rebuilt top to bottom, had to have the crankcase machined for the 113.  It's all SE now.  If I had a new block and flywheel I could build a 103 with my old parts.

I was not aware you had upgraded again to the 113, I assume you now have the timken bearing conversion. What cams are you running now? still the 50mm SE TB? Have you had it on the dyno?

Ya, ya, inquiring minds want to know!  Must of done a dyno run after the build...  How do you like the difference in power?  Very noticable?

P.S.  That S.E. intake does look good as well [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
