truck lite phase 7 question
« on: March 17, 2014, 06:52:26 PM »

I own a 2011 street glide cvo with Harley passing lamps. All Harley info says passing lamps are 4 inch. Truck lite says there passing lamps are 4 1/2. Do Harley and truck lite measure these different. Will they fit. I assume they will being they sell so many to Harley owners but I hate buying things and getting disappointed.

I never could get the stock trim ring back on with the TLs.  I spoke to Kuryakyn about this and the guy I talked to said he had personally installed several sets and yes it was difficult to use the stock trim ring but he had been successful - I wasn't.

But no matter as I prefer the visor style trim rings which work just fine with the TL passing lamps.

I've got a 2013 FLHTCUSE8 and they fit fine.  They also are a vast improvement!

I've headlamp and passings.
Only one problem : fog inside the three and Kuryakyn/Truck lite said :
Thank you for your email. There is a breathable membrane on the top of the lights that will allow the moisture to leave the lights when the lights are in use. What you are experiencing is normal and the moisture will leave the lights. Please feel free to call or email me with any other questions.
Thanks and have a great day!

It was the July 16th, 2012 and the fog is always here when the light is on ! Sure, after 2 or 3 hours and light is off, the fog disappears.

 Bisounours:

I've had the Truck lite P7s since they first hit the market. There has never been any moisture or fogging inside the headlight or driving lights that I've seen. Perhaps you live in a more humid climate, but it still doesn't sound like a valid response.  :nixweiss:

IMHO; I'd ask for an exchange for a new one.  Let them figure it out.
