With the new SERK on order, I've been thinking about having the Motorcycle Lojack installed by the dealer, as this bike wiil not be easy to  replace. Has anyone used this? Are there any concerns about tying it into the HD electrical system? Is it worth it? Any comments or experiences one way or another? Any thoughts on this would be helpful. Thanks. Hoist!

I had a successful car recovery several years ago with LoJack so it was a natural to me to have it put on my bike when they began doing it.  I have had no troubles with the electrical system, but I do use a battery tender.

Its one of those things I hope never to find out how it works.  I sleep better though and no monthly costs.

My major concern would be if there is Lojack service provided by the police in areas I live in or frequently visit. The system is great, but if the police don't have the capability/equipment to track it then it's not going to do you any good. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I have it installed on my CVO, Not by choice but was installed by the dealer before I bought it. (They install it on all there HD's). This is how it works, Once it's installed you will go to the lowjack web site and reg. your bike and VIN. This will also allow you to pick other options that can be added (I choose not to add any extra).

Dood is Correct- as it not in all PD"s area's (HOWEVER) when of if your bike is missing you call or email lojack (In case the local police are not able to do it) they then Turn it (lojack signal) on.

If your ride or a part of it (with the lojack it's hidden in the wiring harness or somewhere on the bike) shows up they will notify the local police even if they are not part of the system (GPS).

Check with your Insurance Co they may discount your policy- NOT all DO so Ask. I have found that if someone wants something they take it. All you really need is a Blanket and two strong guys to carry it off. Or Two Skateboards under each wheel to roll it away.

I really don't want it back if it ever was taken I would only hope the TAKERS would be caught via the lojack.
