Has anyone been able to receive text on the infotainment Boom system using a Iphone 4 with Operating system 7?
I can Bluetooth to other phone types i.e. androids and the sms text options work finbe but not with the Iphone.
Also I can make and receive voice calls using the Iphone 4 with no problem, it just wont receive the SMS texts on the bike...I only get them on the phone.

Anyhelp>?

I have an iPhone 5 and it works great. There is a setting you have to change in the iPhone to make it work. I don't recall what I changed but it was easy and works perfect.

Rotary wing you say the 5 works do you know what version software you have on it?

Try this:
Settings

Bluetooth

Go to the H-D radio connection

Turn on show notification

Well that setting I already did before. I can only state the facts now. I called both apple and the Harley tech support .  They state the iOS 7 on all iPhones does not work on the radio. They say it will work if you use iOS 6 on the phones. Since I have tried the SMS text option using a android phone and everything works I know it's a apple issue. I have a friend with iOS 6 on a iPhone e I will try

I feel your pain. My old phone used to work in my F-250 truck with the SYNC system and notify me of new text messages and then read them to me if I told it to. Since changing to an Iphone it will no longer do anything with text messages. It will place and receive calls but does nothing with text messages.

I wonder if it's intentional, the dot is getting real grumpy about "text anything"

If you read a text in a car or truck with a name on the door, it's 2500 for the driver and five figures for the owner

Mine works fine, but you cant reply via text automatically. Also mine is connected to a FLHXS, not a CVO, but the same infotainment piece.I have a 5s with iOS 7.1 currently, but it has been working with the prior 2 versions as well. I am attaching my settings on my phone, I hope it helps.
