According to the Lyndall site, the Gold's are $64/pair.  So that is $192 = 3 * $64?

I wish I had that sort of markup!

Click on the 121 sold and it shows $20.99. Me thinks some fat fingers added the 8  in front by mistake. Although I have seen crazier things on Fleabay.

The Lyndall site has pads for 64 to 135 bucks. Why are those pads so rediculus high priced?

I've used the Lyndall golds on my '09.......and after the last 5000 miles, I'm going to have to say the stock HD brembo pads are far superior in both noise and stopping quality.....not to mention that when I pulled them off at 20,000 miles to replace them with the Lyndalls, they looked like they could still go another 10,000......as soon as these Lyndall pads wear out, I'm putting my stockers back on.

http://www.lyndallbrakes.com/for-harley-davidson-motorcycles/

Compare the MSRP of the Lyndall Z+ pads at $52 to the MSRP of the stock Harley pads at $50.  I don't see anything ridiculous about Lyndall's pricing in that context.  I do think $50 for one set of pads is high compared to other market segments unrelated to motorcycles, but in the motorcycle market not really.

The higher prices are for their higher rated pads, and that's pretty common as well.  Forget the Red pads, they aren't made for your street bike or stock rotors anyway.  So that leaves a choice of Z+ or Gold.  I've had great success using the Z+, barely any visible brake dust, good feel and response, no noise, no rotor damage like the stock pads produce, good life, and equivalent or better maximum stopping power compared to stock.

Look on the various cycle supply websites and you can find Lyndall pads for less than the stock Harley pads.  I'd only buy direct from Lyndall if I just couldn't find them elsewhere.  For instance, Eastern Performane often has good deals on Lyndall pads.  One example, they currently have a two pack of Z+ pads for late model Touring models at $84 and free shipping ($42 per set).
