Thanks for the post fdny.

Do you have a model number? Was it plug in or did it require wiring?  which model Sena do you have?

if I remember correctly there is power and ground and plug and play to harley helmet harness.I placed the module under my console and then removed stock helmet connection from console and I needed to use a small file to enlarge the hole a bit and install the ake button.took the 7 pin from ake and plugged into the 7 pin harley connector.I have never used helmet comms b4 so there was a learning curve for me.I use the sena sph10h for half helmet and bought the build in version ake 39332.I have a 15 roadglide cvo so I had the connector for helmet in my console.I do not work for ake or sena .I made this choice after some conversation with another gentleman online who is an engineer and researched and had a wealth of information.there is a work around for the sena product I tried prior to this and it does work (you can get info on sena site)this was just my choice.

I have gotten 11-12 hours out of my Sena SMH10, no problem. Use it with my ZUMO 665.
I've gotten the same time on my Scala G4.  But what's the point.  None will work with the infotainment system. :wall:

Do you know if they have english instructions and what devices it will support.  IE:  I have the Scala Systems G4 Pro.  Also how you install it on the bike?

The second part of the instructions are in English, but I could not see for certain where the Scala was supported.  That being said, I am almost certain that any modern (Scala or Sena) Bluetooth headset that supports HFP and A2DP will work.

So for us Harley owners, is this the device we need?   Or is that wired adapter needed too.  It's a little cloudy to me.

Plain and simple:  The AKE Bluetooth unit replaces the wire for your Harley headset unit with a Bluetooth adapter.  The only caveat is that you must use a button to switch between duplex, i.e. mono and mic for commands/phone and stereo mode for listening to tunes.

That is what the little button that installs into the din connector does.  The old unit had to be mounted on the exterior to access the mode button.

Quite the rub, having to pay $225 to make infotainment system work the way it should have been designed.
