The stock rear tire is a Dunlop MU85B16  77H.  You can use the following with your stock rim with no problems:

Dunlop Elite 3,  MU90B16  78H

Michelin Commander II, 140/90B16  77H

I'd suggest changing front and rear at the same time if you plan to change from the stock D402's to something else.

Put the Michelin Commander IIs on my '07 to see if they hold up better to cupping / scalloping.  The Dunlop tires on both my 07 and my 12 seem to be really bad about that (especially the rear).  I always keep the proper air pressure but that doesn't seem to have much effect.  Hope the different brand / tread pattern will do better.   :2vrolijk_21:

I recommend the Michelins. Great ride and life beyond any others I've had in the past.

I believe the trade off is a tire that is not quite as sticky, but still seems to be well within my riding habits.

What size did you put on the back. the two places I went too kept tell me they don't make one. I try to tell them the size but they wouldn't listen.

Like was posted above, the size is:

Michelin Commander II   140/90 B16 77H

And, yes, they do make them in that size.

I also have the Commander II's on my 2005 STANDARD, Best tires I've experienced in many years riding.. I have the 140 on rear and the 130 on the front.. It looked like they are a little wider than the Dunlop's..  Hope this helps..

I put the new Metzeler 888's on my SEEG.  Very pleased and they seem to be wearing better.  They do come in the sizes that you need.
